Camel Xiangzi

"The Camel Xiangzi," a modern Chinese novel written by Lao She, was serialized in magazines from 1936 to 1937 and first published as a standalone book in 1939. The story depicts the tragic life of a young rickshaw puller in Beijing during the 1920s, a period marked by the rule of warlords in Northern China.
